„Pekpol Ostrołęka” S.A. Meat Processing Plants, is the company the beginnings of which date back to 1974. It is then that the first company manufacturing line had been set up. The Plant was established in the Kurpie region of Poland, at that time, rich with tradition and resources. Until the end of the 1990s the company had been mainly following its manufacturing strategy. The change of the company character occurred parallel to the accession of the Republic of Poland into the European Union.

In the attempt to create the company, which will be able to compete upon the difficult market of the European Union, the company management has decided to implement changes into the company policy. The main aim was the implementation of modern technology as well as verified recipes in the process of preparation of renowned products of even more outstanding quality, as well as the introduction of new products, adjusted to the markets of the European Union. The obtainment of the set goal required the design of the totally new manufacturing cycle, the fact that is connected to the investment in new machine park and design of new packaging.
Pekpol has more than one name
Year to year company the assortment changes more diverse. This stems from the constantly growing client expectations as well as from the systematically obtained strategy. The most recognisable company products including Parisienne as well as Balbinki sausages (for children). Apart from the distinction of clients the aforementioned trademarks have gathered the series of prizes and certificates.
In 2008 Parisienne sausages were awarded the title “The best in Poland” in the Consumer Quality Product Competition. In 2009 the Child Health Centre in Warsaw (Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka w Warszawie) awarded Balbinki sausages with the Positive Opinion, the distinction that is equal to the fact that Balbinki sausages are safe for children above the age of 3.
Thus realising the development strategy we have introduced the trademark into our traditional product offer entitled – The House of Kurpie. In the process of its creation we have applied both the obtained experience as well as, characteristic for the cuisine of the region, the method of cold meat and meat preparation. Thanks to the above the collection of our The House of Kurpie cold meat collection merges both: the highly selected resource with the distinctive taste – obtained in accordance with traditional recipes.
New market expansion
The growing manufacturing powers as well as the rich offer have contributed to the initiation of the undertaking of new areas of commercial activity. As of today our company is being directed at the final recipients present upon the markets of the Great Britain, Ireland, Italy and Lithuania.
The preparation of our offered directed at the meeting of the needs of the HeReCa industry constitutes a totally separate area of our activity. It has been adjusted to meet the preferences and expectations of clients present upon the aforementioned market. The products are packed within any form desired by the client: vac packaging, map packaging as well as catering packaging.
